You can enjoy 360-degree views of the Great Smoky Mountains at over 6,000 feet, making it a perfect place to watch the sun set in the evening.

2. Appalachian Trail: Newfound Gap to Clingmans Dome (hard)

Newfound Gap to Clingmans Dome Trail is a 14.9 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Bryson City, North Carolina that features a river and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, trail running, camping, and backpacking and is best used from April until November.

3. Deep Creek Loop Trail (easy)

The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Horses are also able to use this trail.

4. Juney Whank Falls Trail (easy)

Juney Whank Falls Trail is a 0.6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Bryson City, North Carolina that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Horses are also able to use this trail.

5. Gold Mine Loop Trail (moderate)

The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until November. Horses are also able to use this trail.
